The Dougherty Family College (DFC) delivers the same academic curriculum as St. Thomas four-year (bachelor's) degree programs and includes personal mentorship and leadership opportunities. We offer a structured, rigorous liberal arts curriculum that will help you transition into a college environment. It will set you up for success in a four-year degree program and your career.

At DFC, we’ll support you before you come to college, while you’re taking classes, building your resume, graduating and transitioning into a four-year college. Every step of the way, you’ll feel supported and be confident in your choices.
Classes
You’ll take a total of 16 classes while you’re a student at the Dougherty Family College, and they’ll set you up for success in school and beyond
Internships
Students have the opportunity to develop real-world, professional experience in paid internships at leading organizations throughout the Twin Cities.
Transition to a 4-year degree
After you graduate from DFC, you’ll be ready to take your next step; our college transfer counselor will help you transition to a four-year college.
