Joel Gallegos

Teaching is a passion of mines, and being a former first-generation Latino student myself creates a deeper motivation in me to be here at Dougherty Family College with these students. Thus, I decided to be a part of the team here because it was an opportunity to contribute to those from similar backgrounds like my owns. While most of my days will be challenging them mathematically, I also look forward to being a part of their journey in other aspects of their lives. Whether it'd be giving support, motivation, mentoring or the right tools to being successful in the future to achieve their own endeavors and make contributions back to their communities.
