The root of my teaching philosophy is my belief that effective learning occurs when a student-centered learning environment is created. I am excited to be a part of the Dougherty Family College because the college is centered around educating and supporting historically underrepresented students. The level of encouragement that our scholars receive is unique in higher education and creates a supportive setting for student success. All of us are committed to educating and developing our scholars through collaboration and innovation. The impact of this type of institution on the greater community is necessary and fulfilling. Our students and the community need DFC and I am so honored to be able to serve in this role.
